This correspondence pertains to the [Full name of contract that has been breached] executed on [Date] by [Name of parties that executed contract] (the “Contract”). 

As you are aware, Sections [Applicable sections of the contract] of the Contract state that:

  1. [Applicable term that was breached]
  2. [Applicable term that was breached]
  3. [Applicable term that was breached]

Accordingly, [Breaching party name] had a duty to [Duty that was breached] by [Date]. This did not occur. Therefore the purpose of this correspondence is to provide written notice of default pursuant to Section [Applicable section] of the Contract. Pursuant to Section [Applicable section] of the Contract, should the [Breaching party name] fail to cure such default within [Time period] days of this correspondence, [Non-breaching party] shall be entitled to [Details of what may be recovered upon breach of the Contract]
